Where another body is the authority, we link to them rather than restate them. Here is who they are and what each one decides.

Where another body is the authority on a question, this page sends you to them rather than restating what they say. Restated policy drifts out of date; a link does not.

Each link below leaves this site and opens in a new tab.

Government of Liberia

Executive Mansion — Office of the President (opens in a new tab on a website this Office does not control)
The Office of the President of the Republic of Liberia. This Office reports to the President’s Office through the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, and policy direction reaches us through that line. Go here for statements of national policy and for the President’s own announcements.
National Investment Commission (opens in a new tab on a website this Office does not control)
The authority on investment in Liberia: registration, incentives, investor protections and the treatment that applies to a particular project. Anything this site publishes about investment law or incentives is verified with the National Investment Commission before it appears, and where it has not been, we say so and offer to obtain it. Go here for the position that governs.
Ministry of Commerce and Industry (opens in a new tab on a website this Office does not control)
Trade policy, licensing of commercial activity, standards and tariff matters. Go here for questions about importing to or exporting from Liberia, and for the requirements a product has to meet.

Which one you need

Most enquiries reaching this Office belong with the National Investment Commission or the Ministry of Commerce and Industry once they get past the first question. That is not a deflection: we make the introduction by name, we say what the body requires before you approach it, and we stay on the file. If you are not sure which applies, ask us and we will route it.

Office note. For clarification on any questions, comments or concerns regarding our role and responsibilities, please contact us and our team will be happy to assist.
