Working visit to the Monrovia Vocational Training Institute

The Office paid a working visit to the Monrovia Vocational Training Institute (MVTI) on Somalia Drive. The delegation was led by Hon. Jallahqueena H. Konneh.

The meeting covered the achievements of the current management team, the vocational courses offered, enrolment criteria and student numbers.

Following the meeting, the delegation toured the facility, including the carpentry, plumbing, machinery and automobile mechanics workshops. The tour identified equipment needs across several departments, including computers for the drafting department and projectors for teaching. The electrical department asked to extend its curriculum beyond residential wiring to commercial and industrial training.

Hon. Konneh undertook to explore opportunities in Canada to connect the institute with international partners who could help address its equipment and operational needs.
